The Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit J.R.R. Tolkien 1986/7 edition 4 book boxset

4 vintage box set: "The Fellowship of the Ring", "The Two Towers", and "The Return of the King", along with "The Hobbit" by JRR Tolkien, published in 1986 & 1987.

All have a cover price of $3.95

This is a set of "near fine" or better vintage paperbacks. They actually all look to be potentially unread. All bindings are square and flat, not rolled or creased. No loose, torn or folded pages. No writing. All text blocks are crisp, close tightly. The Return of the King and the Fellowship each have a spot on their lower textblock where the yellow tinting is not there, I am guessing perhaps an error from the publisher. Some of the covers show a little surface or edge wear from being tightly packed in the slip case.

The slip case has a fair amount of wear, and one edge looks like it as snacked on by a mouse. The seams are all intact, not split or coming apart.
