The Arabian Nights [c. 1955] Decorated vintage book Faux Leather Steele Savage illustrations Sinbad the Sailor
Published by the International Collectors Library circa 1955.
Octavo in green decorated leatherette, gilt top text block edge, ribbon place mark sewn in, cloth head and tail band in binding, deckled out text block edge, decorated end papers, 472 pages, Collectors insert included.
This is a "very good" or better vintage hardcover with a tight, crisp binding and board hinges. There are no loose, torn or folded pages. The board corners are crisp and square, no wear. The spine tail is unbumped, the head just slightly so. The gilt upper edge bright and even, as are the fold decorations on the front board and spine. The ribbon place mark looks unused, may be an unread copy. There is a very light crack in the crease of the front board hinge along the spine.
A very pleasing vintage tome.
It will display nicely in your library or on the mantle. Makes for a distinctive gift also!
