Octavo in black paper wrapped boards over black cloth wrapped spine, red cloth head and tail band in binding, decorated end papers front and back, 387 pages.

This is a "very good plus" or better vintage hardcover with a crisp binding and hinges. No torn, folded or loose pages. A red penned X-mas inscription on the verso of the front free end paper (see images), otherwise no writing. The text block is square and closes tightly, edge uniform and bright on all sides, not rubbed or smudged. The board corners are crisp, unbumped, no wear at the tips. Spine head and heel are moderately bumped. Front and back covers are uniform, not scuffed or marked, no signs of sunning.

The original vintage dustjacket is complete, not price clipped, no tear, or losses, no writing, no labels. Just a hint of edge creasing at the upper flap fold corners, along with spine edge. Quite nice indeed! Will arrive in a removable archival sleeve for proper protection and presentation.
