Richard Matheson "I Am Legend" (The Omega Man) First edition thus film tie-in Campy science fiction vampires Charlton Heston movie paperback
"The Omega Man" - film release re-title for Richard Matheson's science fiction / vampire classic originally published in 1954 as "I Am Legend". First edition thus. This edition features cover art from the campy 1971 film starring Charlton Heston - if you haven't seen it - you need to! It is arguably the best of the science fiction films he was doing in this era, including Soylent Green. Soylent Green may have had a heavier message, but I think Omega Man was a much more entertaining film. In any case, this is the original text of Matheson's classic story just branded to piggy-back with the Heston film vehicle. This is a "very good plus" or better, super tight, nice copy, might be unread. No writing or names. No turned down corners. Text block edges all relatively even and free from scuffs, etc. White background is mildly tanned with age, more so along spine. See accompanying images to view just how nice this copy is. Will ship promptly, well packaged.
