"The Art of French Glass - 1860-1914" by Janine Bloch-Dermant, published by Vendome Press in 1980.

First American edition.

9 1/2 x 11" large book, purple paper wrapped boards with leatherette wrapped spine, gold foiled decoration on front cover, matching lettering on the spine, undecorated red endpapers, cloth head and tail band in binding, glossy paper throughout, profusely illustrated with both color and black and white images, 204 pages including an index.

This is a "very good plus" to "near fine" vintage hardcover with no significant flaws. No writing, plates. No loose, torn or folded pages. Text block closes tightly, is square, and uniform in color on all edges. Pages are bright internally. Some light rubbing on the board corners and one spot on the bottom of the front board. The board hinges are crisp and strong.

The original vintage jacket is not price clipped, showing the original publishers price of $40 inside the front flap. Just a little edge wear in a few places, smallest touch of chipping at the very tips of the flap folds. No writing, no tears. Some faint surface wear to the glossy surface on the back and a little on the front along the seam of the board and spine wraps.

A really stunning vintage volume! Gorgeous prolific photos. Interesting material. What could be better?
