"The Collected Poems of John Masefield", published in 1926 by William Heinemann Ltd. of London.

Octavo in maroon leather, text block gilt on all sides, front and back end-papers marbled, cloth head and tail bands in binding, 784 pages including an index of the first lines of each poem, spine is hubbed.

This is a "very good -" antique leather book with a tight binding and strong, intact hinges. There are no loose, torn or folded pages. Aside from an owner name inside front free end paper, no writing. The text block closes tightly and is square. The gilt on the all edges is relatively uniform in color, with very little rubbing or scuffing. Board corners are lightly bumped, more so at the bottoms, all tips have some wear, but not worn through. Some edge wear in places, most at spine head and heel corners. Gold decorations are bright all around.

Truly beautiful!
