This is the first appearance in print of this novel, so it is a true first edition although it is in paperback form. Back in the Fifties and Sixties, before science fiction writers were considered "first class" citizens in the literary world, the practice of releasing a novel in paperback form was not that uncommon.

This is a "very good -" or better vintage paperback. The spine has a little roll to it, but is solid, no loose, torn or folded pages. No writing. The insides of the covers are tanned along the edges. Book closes tightly and is not dog earred. Scuff to the front cover near the outer edge. Green tinting on all text block edges relatively smooth, not spotted.
