"Marilyn in Art", compiled by Roger Taylor, published by Salem House in 1984.

First edition.

Large format in orange cloth wrapped boards, decorated end papers, satin finish paper, profusely illustrated, primarily in color, not paginated.

This is a "very good +" or better vintage hard cover with a tight binding and crisp board hinges. The text block is square and tight. There are no loose, torn or folded pages. Aside from a gift inscription on the front free end paper, there is no writing. The text block edges are all uniform in color, not tanned. A few very small speckles on the top edge from dust exposure. The board corners are not worn but lightly bumped. Spine head and tail lightly bumped. The gold lettering on the spine is bright, not rubbed. Both boards are bright, uniform and not sunned or stained.

The original dust jacket is not clipped, showing the publisher's original price of $19.95 inside the front flap. There is a little edge wear in a few places, but not much. There is a scuff at the front lower corner near the spine and some rubbing on the back cover along the top and by the upper portion of the flap fold. Now protected in an removable archival sleeve for proper protection and presentation.

Gorgeous! Will make for an amazing gift for any Marilyn fan.
