"King Arthur and His Knights", compiled and arranged by Philip Schuyler Allen, illustrated by John R Neill and published in 1924 by Rand McNally.

First edition thus, 1924 copyright on verso, 1924 X-mas inscription on front end paper.

Octavo, cloth wrapped boards with pictorial pastedown on front cover, decorated endpapers, 8 full-color glossy full page illustrations. 8 sections or stories, 455 pages.

This is a "very good" vintage hardcover. The binding is intact, perhaps a wee bit shook, is square, closes tightly. No loose, torn or folded pages. No writing aside from aforementioned gift inscription. Signs of a damp stain visible on lower corner of text block, internally visible primarily on the corner edges of the glossy color plates. Board corners are bumped with wear to the cloth at tips. Front board pictorial paste down has surface scuffs. Spine head and tail are bumped with edge wear, spine is tanned. Cloth on back board relatively uniform, free from marks.

Not perfect, but still a really pretty and vibrant book!
