J.R.R. Tolkien "Poems and Songs of Middle Earth" Vintage Vinyl poetry read by Tolkien himself
Vintage 33 1/3 rpm vinyl LP read by Professor Tolkien and published by Caedmon Records in 1967.
First pressing with the uncorrected song list of side one on the back cover and with the side one record label also uncorrected. (The record actually has 6 tracks on side one, with "The Sea Bell" being track 6, which is not listed on the record nor the jacket).
This is a super clean vintage record in original sleeve. The jacket has very little surface wear, with all seams intact, maintaining 97% of its glossy surface on the front with pleasant eggshell on back. The white back cover is lightly tanned at outer edge and there is a 1/3 quarter sized damp stain at lower edge (see images). The internal sleeve is tanned and both the right and left sides are split about 2" in the centers, bottom intact. Lower corners creased and lightly musty. The record is very clean, a little sign of handling but nothing that visibly appears that would be audible (that said I have not played the record, just visually inspected), the labels on both side at the spindle hole look like the record has never seen a turntable!
A really unique gift for that vinyl loving Tolkien fan in your life!
Maybe that's you!
