This is a "very good -" vintage hardcover with marroon paper wrapped boards and a cloth wrapped spine with cloth head band, published in 1949, 835 pages of Fitzgerald goodness.

The spine is weakened with a split between the second front free end paper and the title page - see images. There are no loose, torn or folded pages. No writing. The text block is square and closes tightly. There are a handful of the very upper corner page tips that have been inadvertently folded, but not where a reader has used that method to mark their spot throughout the book. The spine is tanned. Text block edges are all uniform in color.
