This is a "very good" vintage hardcover in blue cloth wrapped boards, 1101 pages including an exhaustive index of the contents. Book club printing.No writing, no loose, torn or folded page corners. The binding is intact and strong, albeit it slightly sagged due to the shear massive weight of this tome. Decorative owner's book plate affixed inside front paste down, dated to 1970.Text block closes tightly and is square, . Edges are bright, a smallish light spot on outer edge.The spine head and heal are bumped with some edge wear. The board corners are mildly bumped with slight wear at tips.The matching vintage dust jacket has losses at top edge by spine and on lower edge at spine and along the bottom back edge. No writing or marks, not sunned.
