This is a "very good -" antique hardcover in decorated cloth wrapped boards, gilt upper text edge, 25 glossy color plates, numerous black and white illustrtions, published in 1913 by J.M. Dent & Co of London, 328 pages including index. Two panel black and white map in back prior to index.

Binding is intact but delicate due to heavy text block. No writing, no loose, torn, or folded pages. Text block is deckled, relatively square, closes tightly. Decorations on the front cover are crisp and complete. Spine is tanned, back cover is relatively uniform in color. Wear to cloth at spine head and tail and board corners.
